Gekitotsu Dangan Jidōsha Kessen: Battle Mobile (激突弾丸自動車決戦バトルモービル?, "Mobile Kessen Battle Bullets Car Crash")[5] is a Super Famicom vertically-scrolling action video game from System Sacom; which was released in 1993 to an exclusively Japanese audience.

Summary

The game is narrowly related to Data East's full-motion video game Road Blaster (although their lack of presence in the credits makes it merely a homage).[1]

There are elements of futuristic romance in the storyline. In the year 2029, a man and his wife are celebrating their honeymoon in a rural area.[1] Suddenly, a group of highway bandits chase them in their automobiles and killed the wife.[1] The main character of the story is the widower who survived this honeymoon gone awry. He is seeking revenge one year later in his red sports car.

Gameplay

One of the ways to score points in this video game is to ram into other vehicles and shoot missiles at helicopters.[1] Progressing through the game also counts as scoring; similar to the method used in video games like Out Run or Pole Position.

Bosses include trains, semi-trailer trucks, and tanks. Scenery include cities, caves, and rural scenery. The player has three lives and two continues. A high score is kept for the driver who destroys the most motorcycles and automobiles. While the vehicle cannot fire any weapons, the vehicle can deflect a limited amount of enemy bullets and also has the ability to ram into other vehicles. In the easy and normal modes, the game ends on a sour note. However, the complete game can be played out on the hardest difficulty level. Violence in this game is of the fantasy variety and there is no out-of-vehicle combat unlike the Grand Theft Auto series.
